Navigraph has just rolled out another important update to its Avionics Plugin for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Hot on the heels of their recent integration with the G3000 and G5000 avionics systems, Navigraph now brings its top-tier features to the G1000 NXi.
This latest update is a significant upgrade for pilots flying aircraft equipped with the G1000 NXi, such as the Cessna 172 Skyhawk and the Diamond DA62. The plugin now allows for seamless access to Navigraph’s charts and SimBrief flight planning directly within the cockpit, eliminating the need for cumbersome alt-tabbing or juggling multiple devices.
Navigraph’s Avionics Plugin leverages the ChartView software, developed in partnership with Jeppesen and Garmin, to bring real-world functionality to your virtual cockpit. With this update, users can now display specific chart sections across multiple screens, customizing the information layout to their preferences.
The integration with the G1000 NXi is part of Navigraph’s broader strategy to expand its compatibility with various avionics systems. Besides the G1000, G3000 and G5000, there are also plans to include compatibility with the CJ4 Pro Line 21 systems.
For those who are already subscribed to Navigraph’s Unlimited plan, which costs around €9 per month, the Avionics Plugin can be installed via the Navigraph Hub. Xbox users can expect to find the plugin pre-installed in aircraft from developers who have opted for integration.
To get the most out of this new feature, Navigraph offers a detailed guide that walks users through the installation and usage process, ensuring a smooth and efficient flight planning experience.
This is the list of G1000-equipped aircraft in MSFS that currently support this feature:
Cirrus SR22
Diamond Aircraft DA40NG
Diamond Aircraft DA62
Pilatus PC-6
Textron Aviation Beechcraft Baron G58
Textron Aviation Beechcraft Bonanza G36
Textron Aviation Cessna 172 Skyhawk (G1000)
Textron Aviation Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX
Third-party developers are also encouraged to include this feature in their integration of the Working Title G1000. The upcoming FSReborn Piper M500, for example, will include the Avionics Plugin in its G1000 NXi out of the box.
